A stronger Sweden for you

Now it's your turn

Here’s how we plan to make Sweden strong for you.

A stronger Sweden for you

This autumn, you’ll have a say in the direction our country takes. We
promise unity, not division. We promise investments, not cuts. Sweden
has been growing weaker for a long time, and we want to make Sweden
strong again for you.

We Social Democrats have done our homework and gone back to our
roots. For three years, we have been working on solutions that address
today’s challenges and prepare Sweden for turbulent times. We are now
a more focused and dynamic party. With a mission to improve the daily
lives of hardworking people and strengthen our community.

It's your turn now.

A strong economy
that you can feel in your wallet

After years of high inflation, rising food prices and massive tax cuts for the richest
segments of the population, it must now be the turn of ordinary people with ordinary
jobs and wages. Nine out of ten people will have more money in their pockets thanks
to our policies.
We want to combat record-high unemployment. Everybody who can work must
work. Sweden needs a proactive and modern growth policy. Investments in social
welfare and the climate transition will create more jobs throughout Sweden.

  • The unfair waiting period must go.
  • A higher pension for those who have worked all their lives.
  • Greater pressure on banks and food giants.
  • Protection against high electricity prices.
  • Increased child benefits and free dental care for young people.

Strong schools, healthcare and social
services for you and your family

You should feel secure and get support and help no matter where you are in life.
That’s why we need more staff in healthcare, schools and social services, so they’ll
have more time for you.

School funding should stay in the schools and teachers should have more time for
both the children who put up their hands and the ones who never do. We will invest
more in care for the elderly, ensure that staff have better working conditions and can
speak Swedish, because growing old in Sweden should be a safe and secure experience.

  • Shorter waiting times for healthcare.
  • More teachers in schools.
  • Schools and preschools run for children and parents, not for profit.
  • More staff and language requirements in care for the elderly.

A strong sense of community and
greater safety where you live

Crime is creeping closer to people’s daily lives and this uniquely serious situation calls
for a new approach. That’s why we want to keep a close eye on young people at risk
and lock up gang leaders under an anti-mafia act.

The threat also comes from outside. That is why Sweden’s military capabilities
must be rapidly built up, while at the same time we want to strengthen critical sectors
of society, such as the railways, healthcare and the electricity and food supply. We are
ready to work together and build broad political support to keep Sweden safe.

  • Defend Swedish democracy and our way of life.
  • Total defence capabilities will be expanded.
  • Tough on crime and its causes.
  • An anti-mafia act will make it easier to imprison gang leaders.
  • Sweden should not have any vulnerable areas.

Hi,

I love Sweden, but for far too long this country has been falling apart and
growing weaker. Hardworking people are worse off.
I have a plan to make this country strong again for you. I want to build
strong, broad partnerships that deliver results and make everyday life
better. In these uncertain times, it’s more important than ever to put
Sweden’s best interests first.
I’m not promising everything to everyone.
But after so many tough years, it must be your
and your family’s turn now. That is my promise
to you.
On 13 September, you have a choice. I’m asking
for your trust to lead Sweden so that we can
make this country strong again.
